Richard (Rick) Charles Eddleman was born April 29, 1962 in Los Alamos, NM and died of natural causes in his sleep late May, 2011. Rick spent his entire life in Los Alamos, which he loved, with the exception of about a year where he was employed by Petroleum Concepts Incorporated in Midland, Texas after taking a Machinists Course at TVI in Albuquerque, NM. Rick was accepted into the Machinists Apprenticeship program at the Los Alamos National Lab which he completed and continued working as a machinist until the program was terminated. He continued working in various lab projects for a number of years. Rick was well known for his quick wit, his love and concern for others, his generosity of his time, monetary funds and his ability to provide help with mechanical issues, household maintenance problems, etc. He enjoyed music, played percussion in school bands from grade school through high school, played baseball and softball from grades school to recent years. He loved vintage muscle cars, painted and restored some and was an avid race car fan attending many races in Phoenix, AZ as well as other locations. He liked hunting big game, hunted successfully in Alaska, enjoyed fishing, the mountains and the great outdoors. He love helping his family and friends in any way he could no one was more generous than Rick. Rick had some physical issues and had been in and out of the hospital several times including recent surgery. He was very independent and insisted on caring for himself. Rick is survived by his father, Troy Eddleman of Lazear, Colorado, his mother, Lois Eddleman, brother John Eddleman and sister Lori (Eddleman) Morris of Los Alamos, NM. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. His cremated remains will be placed in a location to be determined later. Memorial services at White Rock Baptist Church will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Donations to your favorite charity or church in lieu of flowers are appreciated.
