Richard J Cebada

RICHARD J. CEBADA, SR. 63, of Santa Fe, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 following a lengthy illness. He was born January 13, 1949, the son of Gila and Alcario Cebada. He was raised and schooled in Santa Fe, and served with the U.S. Army, having been discharged in April of 1969. He married Lucy Garcia in Santa Fe on May 3, 1969. Richard was preceded in death by his father Alcario Cebada; one brother, Thomas Cebada; and a sister, Lucy Cebada. He is survived by his wife, Lucy Cebada; his mother, Gila Cebada; his two sons, Richard Cebada, Jr. and friend Michelle, and Matthew Cebada and wife Melanie. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren; his sisters, Velma, Riena, Rose, and Lucille; and his brother, Jimmy; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Rosario Chapel, where a Rosary followed at 7:00 PM Wednesday evening. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Rosario Chapel. Interment with military honors was held at 2:15 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Diego Garcia, Jimmy Cebada, Gilbert Garcia, III, Jesus Rodriguez, Richard Visarga, and Jeremy Valencia. Honorary Pallbearers include his grandchildren, Matthew Cebada, Jr., Michaelangelo Cebada, Marisa Cebada, and Mercedes Cebada, and his sister-in-law Rosemarie Garcia,
