Richard Salazar On May 3, 2019, surrounded by his beloved wife of 41 years, Richard went home to be with our Lord. Richard was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Ubaldo Salazar, and now deceased Susie Casados Salazar. He was blessed to grow up with numerous brothers and sisters, and experienced what treasures a large family can provide one, when growing up. Richard was a protector; always making sure that no one was disrespecting anyone he knew. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson everywhere he went. Richard was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of books; however, mysteries were his favorite. He was a faithful and honorable supporter of the Second Amendment, and enjoyed and respected his weapons. He was meticulous in all he did, for himself and others. He was a devoted husband, brother, son and brother-in-law. If anyone needed anything, and he was able, he would be there. Richard is preceded in death by his mother Susie and brother Michael. He is survived by his wife Virginia Urban-Salazar, father; Ubaldo, brothers; Eddie and Marcos, sisters; Marcella (Manuel), Cecelia (Tim), Lisa (Kerrie), Linda, Mona (John), Roberta and Patty. Richard will be forever missed and loved. His kindness and patience will be forever etched in our hearts. Memorial Service will be conducted at Santa Fe Baptist Church, located on Agua Fria off of Jemez Rd on May 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A small reception will follow service.
