Rita Jean Mortensen

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Rita Jean Randolph-Mortensen at the age of 64 on November 15th, 2018. Born November 28th, 1953 in Elkhart, Kansas. At a young age Rita moved to Los Alamos, NM where she attended Los Alamos public schools and was involved with the 4H Club, various sports, and cheerleading. Rita’s family makes the following tribute to her, “She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her kindness, affection, and tenderness will be sorely missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her love.” She is survived by her four children and their spouses Gina Tafoya (Tony), Jana Wrobbel (Jon), Steven Harbert (Christy), and Shawn Harbert (Taryn); her two stepchildren Kristin and Brian Mortensen; her seven grandchildren Josh, Zack, Dustin, Ryan, Jordan, Nathan, and Allyson; her three great grandchildren Kallie, Aubreelynn, and Zoey; her two brothers and their spouses Ron Randolph (Joyce) and Craig Randolph (Sharon); and many other relatives. A celebration of life service will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 1:00 P.M.
