Robert Carlos Abeyta Jr.

Loving father, grandfather, and son Robert Carlos Abeyta Jr. (Carlos) passed away on March 3, 2017 after a long struggle with various illnesses. Carlos was 48 and born and raised in Santa Fe, NM. He is preceded in death by his grandparents on his father’s side Theresa and Arturo Abeyta, his grandparents on his mother’s side Elvira and Salomon Lovato, and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his daughters Rosandra (Michael) and Grace (Jacob), grandson Ezra, brother Joseph (Carla), nephews Devon and Elias, parents Elsie V. Abeyta (Lovato) and Robert Carlos Abeyta Sr. Carlos enlisted in the armed forces and upon his honorable discharge pursued a degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering. He held several positions in various technological fields with his most recent employment being at the Los Alamos National Laboratories. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson, watching movies, and discussing the vastness of space. He was kind, caring and generous. His easy going nature and joyful demeanor were a warm welcome at every family gathering. Everyone enjoyed spending time with him. He will be greatly missed and forever loved. A rosary will be held at St. Anne’s church on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 7:30 PM. Funeral mass will be at Cristo Rey church on March 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM. All are invited to attend.
