Robert C. Clavio passed away peacefully in Santa Fe, NM on Jan. 18, 2010.
He is survived by Luella Clavio, his wife of 64 years, sons Dan Clavio of Santa Fe, and Gary Clavio of Torrance, CA, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by son Tim Clavio.
A native Californian, Bob was born on Jan. 23, 1919. He grew up in San Bernardino and lived many years in Rialto and Idyllwild, CA, moving to Santa Fe in 2003. He served in the US Marine Corp during WWII in the Pacific campaign. He worked for 43 years for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He was an avid golfer and played the piano beautifully.
A memorial service was held on January 22, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Fe. Interment service was held on January 29, 2010 at the National Veterans Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
