Robert John Montoya

Robert J. Montoya a lifetime resident of Espanola, New Mexico was born into this life on November 16, 1982 . He passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Robert was preceeded in death by his Parents; Diane Montoya, and Rudy Lopez, Brother; Zachary Lopez, Maternal Grandparents; Donicio and Geneva Montoya. Robert is survived by his sister; Nicole Montoya-Lopez and companion Chris, Brothers; Rudy and wife Jennifer, Matthew and wife Nicole, Girlfriend; Karrie Renee Mascarenas and his baby girl Amber Rose Padilla. Nephew; Nehemiah Candelaria, Niece; Eva, And Matea, Brooke, Eli. many other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. Robert enjoyed hanging out with his friends, camping, fishing, going on vacations and he loved his Football and sports. Nehemiah and Amber were Robert's pride and joy. He made sure the kids were happy at all times and did everything possible for them. He always made sure they were well taken care of. A Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, 5:30 PM at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel, with a Wake Service to be be held at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at the Rock Christian Outreach Church, Espanola, NM. Interment will take place on Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde, NM. The Montoya family has entrusted the care of their loved one to the care of Rivera Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
