Bobby Gurule, age 59, a resident of Rio Lucio passed away on March 21, 2013 due to a battle with heart problems. He was born on June 6, 1953 in Embudo to Aurora and Levi Gurule and was married to Reyna Gurule.
Bobby is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Eliseo and Antiontia Borrego, paternal grandparents; Onofre and Urseina Gurule, father, Levi Gurule, son, Marvin Gurule, father-in-law Orlando Vasquez, mother-in-law Kate Vasquez, five nephews; Steve and Louie Martinez, Harold and Allen Pacheco and Fred Lopez, one niece Natalie Maribal.
He is survived by his wife, Reyna (Elsie) Gurule, mother, Aurora Gurule both of Rio Lucio, daughter Amy Trujillo, son-in-law Javier Trujillo both of Chimayo, daughter Roberta Gurule of Pojoaque, sister, Lena Martinez of Espanola, seven grandchildren; Michael, Brittney, Sarah, Robert, Gianna, Isaiah and Xavier, numerous other relatives and friends, one uncle Eliseo Borrego, two close cousins; Angie Gurule of Rio Lucio and Christine Lujan of Las Vegas, NV.
Mr. Gurule was married for 40 years to his beloved wife Reyna. He worked construction for 8 years in Colorado. He also worked for the Highway Dept. and the mines in Church Rock, NM. He enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting with his friends. The family would like to thank Rivera Family Funeral Home.
A visitation and rosary were held on March 27, 2013 at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel in Espanola. A memorial service was celebrated on March 28, 2013 at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel in Espanola. Burial followed at the Chamisal Cemetery.
