Robert Rodriguez

Robert Eloy Rodriguez, 67, from Velarde, NM passed away July 11, 2022. He was born on July 19, 1955, in Espanola, NM to mother Solema Romero. 

Robert is preceded in death by his mother Solema Romero from Chimayo, stepfather Felipe Romero from Chimayo, grandson Robert Jr. (Chuey) Rodriguez from Hernandez, brother Jessie Romero from Chimayo.

Robert is survived by his son Robert Jr, Rodriguez, daughter Charlene Rodriguez, son Joey Rodriguez, daughter Roberta Rodriguez, daughter Ruby Rodriguez, sisters Patsy, Betty, Cindy, and Mary Ann, brothers Tiny and Johnny Romero, ex-wife, and mother to 3 of his kids Darlene Maestas, along with many nieces and nephews, who love and will miss him dearly. 

Robert had a total of 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. 

Robert was a roofer in the past. He also worked as a woodworker and did yard work as self-employed. Robert enjoyed fishing, camping, music, and sitting outdoors, working on his woodwork. Robert respected everyone he met. He had a good heart. Robert also had a love for old school cars, lowriders, and hydraulics. He was part of the El Paisano Car Club back in the day. He previously owned a ‘66 Chevy Impala and a ‘55 Chevrolet Chevelle. His favorite color was blue. 

Robert Rodriguez went home to be with our heavenly father. He will be greatly missed by all his family and all who knew him. Rest in Peace Robert. Love you. Forever in our hearts. 

Pallbearers will be his children. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandkids. 

There will be a private family viewing, followed by cremation. The burial of Roberts cremains will be announced at a later date.
