Robert Bob Fernando Tenorio 72, passed away January 30, 2011. Bob was very active in the community. He was a 1955 graduate of Taos High School and attended the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology to major in Chemistry. He served in the New Mexico National Guard for 7 years as a Radar Technician. He worked for Physical Science Laboratory/White Sands Missile Range, Jet Propulsion Laboratories (JPL) Digital Equipment Corporation, and at Holy Cross Hospital as a Materials Manager. He served on the Taos Fiesta Council and on the Taos Planning and Zoning Commission. He was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. His favorite loves were fishing, and making the fish popper/autoset setters, playing pool with his pool league, woodworking, and helping out the local kids with science fair, sharing his passion of the sciences with future generations. He is preceded in death by his father, Ben. He is survived by his mother, Loyola, great aunt Julia Medina, his wife, Lucille, his daughters Leah (Mario) and Laura, and his grandson, Indigo.
The memorial will be pending in the spring, and interment will be in the family mausoleum in Taos Canyon. In lieu of flowers, Bob would have appreciated a donation to the Taos Municipal Schools Science Fair, c/o Taos Middle School, 235 Paseo del Canon, Taos New Mexico.
