Robin Ann Rossi

Robin Rossi -Poultney of Santa Fe passed away suddenly in the early hours of April 13.       Robin was born and raised in Maywood Illinois until her love for New Mexico brought about new vistas around 1988.This is where we met. Her occupation was that of a barber where her excellent communication skills were honored. Never at a loss for words or even momentary hesitancy to voice her opinions or thoughts. Her huge heart impacted all who met her and was warmly embraced by her adopted South African family. As my sister, Denise, observed: “She crept into all of our hearts.” Her thoughtful gifts she sent knew no bounds, a constant buying for those that she loved. As a single mom in 2002, her life and health were negatively impacted by the tragic death of her only son, Damien. Despite her health issues, Robin assumed the role of ‘caregiver’, looking after two elderly citizens in Las Cruces. We were introduced by a mutual friend in 2003 and were married in 2007.Her bubbly warmth and quick laugh endeared her to many, and her passion for animals ensured that we adopted a lot of strays. Robin was a fine traveling companion. Together we spent our free time exploring the four corners of the US as well as six trips to my ancestral home-South Africa. Robin, your pain is now a memory, since you are now with Jesus, your Lord and Savior. And, despite the constant change in our world and lives, the memory of you will continue in our hearts. Two sisters, a husband, your family in South Africa and dozens ‘round the globe. Thank you, Robin for all the cheer, sweetness and blessings that you dispensed. Memorial Service will be held at ‘The Light at Mission Viejo’ church on Monday April 26th at 10AM (MST) It will be live streamed to allow global participation.
