Rogelio Martinez, 80 resident of Santa Fe, NM, passed away on September 29, 2020. He was born on December 29, 1939 in Canones, NM to Susana and Elias Martinez.
Rogelio was married to Isabelle Martinez on January 21, 1961 in Canjilon, NM.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Elias & Susana Martinez, brothers; Presiliano & Tim Martinez, sister; Porferia Soveranes and grandson; Jesus Martinez.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years; Isabelle Martinez, daughters; Barbara (Todd) Fergus, Yvonne Martinez-Denko, sons; Roger Jr. (Elizabeth), Andres (Liz), Donald (Jeanette), grandchildren; Justin (Misty) Fergus, Sandra Mirabal (Miguel Tapia), Savannah (Greg) Maynard, Matthew Martinez, Andrea (Justin) Mount, Lapearl Baca, Tim (April) Ortiz, Angelo (Ashley) Ortiz, Jeremy Martinez, Alyssa (Manuel Segura, Fiancé) Martinez, great grandchildren; Brittany, Katherine, Sarah, Isaiah, Trinity Skye, Austin, Cole, Antonio, Illie, Ava, Kennedy, Miguel, Lucas, Sebastian, Addison, Breyonne, Ayson, Ethan and Anthony (AJ), brother; Leo (Flora) Martinez, sisters; Susan (Tony) Sanchez, Nasha Casson, Lila (David) Wood, Carlotta Alrazar, Sophia (Mike) Myers and many nieces and nephews.
Rogelio was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and godfather. He was a plumber by trade and retired from the Santa Fe Public Schools. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (St. Johns the Baptist Church). He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to go camping and fishing. He enjoyed telling stories of his childhood in northern NM.

Honorary Pallbearers; Rachel Gurule, Jennifer Nieto, Joshua Montaño, Sergio Tapia, Dolores Froelick, Erwin Baca, Andrea Mount, Janet Martinez and Emelia Alderette.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church located at 1301 Osage Ave, Santa Fe, NM, followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will take place at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens located at 417 E Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM following the Mass.
