Roman R. Lucero, 80, a resident of Ojo Caliente, NM, passed away on November 18, 2015. He was born on September 1, 1935 in El Rito, NM, to Teresita and Doroteo Lucero. He was preceded in death by his parents, Teresita and Doroteo Lucero, brothers, Fidel Lucero, Lazaro Lucero, Gilbert Lucero, Sabino Lucero, Waldo Lucero and Johnny Lucero, sisters, Trinidad Lucero, Martina Trujillo and Estefanita Maez. He is survived by his loving wife, Susie Lucero, son, Roman Lucero “Gordo”, daughters, Lorraine Lucero and husband Eli, Janet Lucero and husband Celestino, Romie Adams and husband Walter, grandchildren, Walter Adams Jr. and Selena, Anthony Lucero and Cassandra, Jesse Lucero and Josephine, Leann Lovato and husband Joe, Christina Lucero, Esteban Lucero and Melissa, great grandchildren, Santino and Abby, Aria and Lillyana, Sonny and Nathanial, Keanna and Jaylen and Lorenzo. His sister Rosina Lucero. His sisters-in-law and all his nieces, nephews, cousins and thirteen God children. Serving the family as pallbearers will be: Roman Lucero Jr., Walter Adams, Anthony Lucero, Jesse Lucero, Esteban Lucero, Sammy Lucero. Honorary pallbearers will be: Leann Lovato and Christina Lucero. A Rosary was recited on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente, NM. Mass of Christian Burial took place on Friday, November 20, 2015 also at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow Mass at the Ojo Caliente Cemetery.
