Rosabel "Rose" Maestas

Rosabel (Rose) Maestas, 83, of Ranchitos and Talpa passed away unexpectedly on the evening of September 2015. She was born in Antonito, Colorado, grew up in Ranchitos and settled in Talpa after marrying her husband of 53 years. She loved to read and spend time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Valentine and Eleanor Vigil. She is survived by her husband, Francisco (Frank) Maestas, children, Darryl Maestas (Julie), Russell Maestas (Lisa) and Carla Kelley (Brett), grandchildren, Jason Hurst, Pascualito Maestas (Leeandra), Noah, Kaelin, Kelly Tonrey and Grayson Kelley, brothers and sisters, Amadeo Vigil (Amadita), Stella Gutierrez (Phil), Fran Faircloth (Ray), Jane Garcia (Gus), Pauline Medina (Jose), Michael Vigil (Lupe), Gilbert Vigil (Clara) and Terry Garduño (Clyde), many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends too numerous to list, but all who loved her and will miss her tremendously. Rosary was recited on September 25, 2015. Funeral mass was held on September 26, 2015. Both were held at San Francisco de Asis with interment following at the Talpa Cemetery.
