Rosalie P. Langley

Mrs. Rosalie P. Langley – was born on February 5, 1914 in Texas, the daughter of Charles McBride and Mary Catherine McBride. She died of heart failure, April 1, 2006 at Los Alamos, NM. In her lifetime she was an elementary teacher, musician, artist, Girl Scout Leader, Kansas farmer/rancher, in the Army and Airforce (AF WACS) as a corporal in WWII, wife and mother. Raised an Army child, she settled in Western Kansas after completing her education degree at Fort Hayes State College in 1941. Mrs. Langley married in 1947 Ernest Ray Langley, and they bought the Hackmaster rancher near Leoti, Kansas. In the 1960's she moved to Longmont, Colorado and on to Texas in the 1980's. She lived in Florida before New Mexico. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to your local Girl Scout Council. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. She is survived by her daughters: Deborah Langley of Bartesville, OK and Christine Langley of Key Largo, FL; daughter-in-law, Jean Langley; grandsons: Ray and Scott Langley of Round Rock, Texas. Her son, Paul Langley and former husband Ernest preceded in her in death. The family of Rosalie P. Langley has placed their trust in the Rivera family of Block-Salazar Mortuary.
