Rosa Piña Archuleta

Rosaura "Rosa" Piña Archuleta – Age 89 a resident of San Pedro passed away on Friday, July 8, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose R. Archuleta; son, Donaldo Archuleta on April 8, 2004; and a daughter, Louisa Martinez on June 4, 1994. She was born in El Vado, New Mexico to Cipriano and Vicenta Piña on September 28, 1915. She is survived by her children: Irene Martinez and husband Clarence of Española, Vicenta Martinez and husband Leo of Leadville, Colorado, Cipriano Archuleta and wife Martha of Hernandez and Mildred Martinez of Alcalde; daughter-in-law, Martha Archuleta of Española; son-in-law, Frank Martinez of Santa Cruz; brother, Joe Piña of Los Angeles, California; sister-in-law, Consuelo Piña of Los Ojos; 27 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Karyne Archuleta, Pamela A. Lujan, Vickie Garcia, Luana Martinez, Geraldine Martinez and Sarah Piña. The following will serve as honorary pallbearers: Phillip Piña, Marcellino Maestas, Daniel Archuleta, Clara Ramirez and all other grandchildren.
