Rose Esquibel was called into the arms of the Lord on October 25, 2015 in Las Nutrias surrounded by her loving family. She was a retired school teacher who taught students for 25 years in the Chama Valley Schools. She lived life through her strong catholic faith, teaching and mentoring children and working hard on the Esquibel family ranch. She leaves a void in our hearts and will be sadly missed by all. Rose is the daughter of the late Hipolito and Eloisa Esquibel. She was born and raised at the family ranch in Las Nutrias, NM. She is also predeceased by her sisters: Rosaura, Josefina, Margarita Esquibel and Mindie Baca (husband Lou); brothers: Gilbert (wife Emma), Paul, John (wife Sarah), Herky, and Ramon - Brother Amedy Esquibel; and brother-in-law Ernie Vigil. Rose is survived by her sisters: Loysie Lobato (husband, Raymond), Josina Vigil; brother: Tony Esquibel (wife Cathy); and sister-in-law Maclovia Esquibel. She is also survived by her niece Christina Esquibel of the family home; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and other loving relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Santo Nino in Tierra Amarilla. A Catholic Mass was celebrated on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Santo Nino in Tierra Amarilla.
