Rosella Barbero

Rosella R. Barbero, 65, of Santa Fe, passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 due to cancer. She is preceded in death by grandmother Isabelita Barbero, and father Jacobo Barbero. Rosella was born June 22, 1943 to Jacobo and Della Barbero in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was employed at the 1st National Bank for 23 years until her retirement in 2005. She is survived by daughters Yvette Garduno of Santa Fe, Mona Rodriguez of Santa Fe, and Debra Lynn of Las Vegas, Nevada, son Anthony Rodriguez of Santa Fe, mother Della Barbero of Santa Fe, sisters Viola Barbero of Montebello, California, Gloria Barbero of Santa Fe, and Dolores Barbero of Santa Fe, brother Andrew Barbero (Lynann) of Santa Fe, and good friend Gilbert Holmes of Santa Fe. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 5 nieces and 1 nephew. Rosella Barbero was a beautiful woman loved by many. She enjoyed music, dancing and family gatherings, where her love for life filled the room with joy and laughter. When Rosella laughed, everyone joined in. She was a great mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be clearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00am Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, where mass will be celebrated at 11:30am.
