Rose L. Sedlar

Rose Linda Sedlar, widow and mother of four boys (1 deceased), four grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren, passed away at the age of 87 on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

Rose was born on February 14, 1933, in Santa Fe, NM to Monico and Eloisa Rivera.

She is survived by her sister, Ruby and her husband Peter Ortiz from Las Vegas, NM.

Rose was married to Joseph A. Sedlar, from Irvington, NJ, who passed away in 2010. Joe was a member of the United States Air Force and the newlywed couple traveled extensively. The military couple retired in Santa Fe. Rose had an extensive career working for Sears and Roebuck just off the plaza. She was a generous supportive volunteer of her church, San Isidro on Agua Fria and was becoming an exemplar for women’s civil rights before Covid struck.

Because of the pandemic, services and celebration of life will be held one year from now.

The immediate family will have a small private ceremony at the National Cemetery

officiated by Deacon Juan Martinez.
