Rose Maestas

Rose A. Maestas - Born May 9, 1929, passed away surrounded by family on May 5, 2016 at 12:32 a.m. Rose was born in Price, Utah, to Celso Baca and Antonia Diaz Baca. Rose is preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy Begay; First husband, Timothy Bradley Begay; Second husband, Eddie Maestas; Grandson, Joey Vigil; Goddaughter, Theresa Vigil; and numerous other relatives. Rose is survived by her children: Evelyn Martinez; Yolanda Vigil; Yvonne Boylan and husband Larry; DeAnna Vigil and husband Philip; Mona Varela and husband David; and her former son-in-law, whom she loved like a son, Marty Apodaca; brother, Francisco Donez and wife Esther, their children and grandchildren: Martin Apodaca, his wife Krista and their daughters Jolie and Karlea; Anthony Apodaca, his wife Marisol and thier sons Jordan, Jayden and Josiah; Daniel Segura; Darlene Segura (Manuel); Denise Rivera (Javier); Yvette Carriaga; Anthony Begay (Barbara); Maxine Begay Salazar; Marty Begay; Michael Leyba (Valerie); Rosie Tapia (Louie); Lisa Trujillo (Richie Chavez); Christine Vigil (Daniel Gutierrez); Larry Boylan, Jr. (Crystal); Eric Boylan (Christian); Michelle Ortega; Angella Boylan; Great-granddaughter whom she helped raise, Zelyna Apodaca (Antonio Baca); and other great- great grandchildren too numerous to mention. Cousin Antonia Medrano, and husband Ricardo, of San Francisco, California. Her close friends: Maureen and Willie Marquez; Beatrice Dominguez; Faye Romero. Our mom/grandma was a firecracker and kept us on our toes. She will be missed and leaves an empty space in the hearts of those who loved her. Private family viewing will be held Tuesday May, 10th at 4:00pm at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe. Rosary will be recited Tuesday May 10th at 7:00pm at San Isidro Center in Santa Fe. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00a.m. at San Isidro Center, followed by a reception at the American Legion, and burial at 3:00 pm at the National Cemetery.
