Rosemary “Ro” Horace (nee Busch) departed this life on January 14, 2019 at the age of 91. She was surrounded by her children as she passed peacefully home to the Lord.
Rosemary was born August 6, 1927 in St. Louis, MO to Lyonel and Rose Mary Busch (nee McNulty). She was the eldest of three children and took her siblings under her wing after her parent’s death.
Rosemary was married to Joe O. Horace for 34 years until his death on September 1, 2017. Together, they blended their families and shared many adventures traveling the world together. They rarely ever spent a night apart.
Rosemary moved from Illinois to Santa Fe in 1983 and here, she and Joe established several successful car dealerships and immersed themselves fully into living their lives in Santa Fe. Ro also worked as a travel agent and made many good friends and clients in her career.
Rosemary was very active in her local PEO chapter, the Santa Fe Garden Club, playing bridge at a master level, and was an avid golfer, serving as the President of the Women’s PGA at the Santa Fe Country Club.
Rosemary was a devout Catholic and loved worshiping at the Santa Fe Basilica and Santa Maria De La Paz. She had many philanthropic pursuits and donated lovingly to many local organizations and charities.
More than anything else, Ro was a beloved mother. Being with her children gave her so much joy and pride. She was a consummate hostess, caregiver and friend and was beloved by all who knew her.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe, her brother Robert Busch, and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter Cecile Foley, sons Stephen Dehen and wife Beverly, John Foley and wife Teri, stepson Clifton Horace and wife Suzy, and stepdaughters April Horace and Robin Horace and husband Chip Garofolo.

Rosemary spent the last several months of her life in the loving and compassionate care of The Legacy at Santa Fe. Their love and support made her transition a beautiful and memorable experience for her and her family.
In her last days Amber Care Hospice provided much needed comfort and the utmost support to all of us.
We thank these organizations for all they have done for us and continue to do for Santa Fe families.
A memorial service officiated by Father Michael Niemczak is scheduled for Monday, January 21, 2018 at the Kiva Chapel of Light 417 E. Rodeo Rd. at 2:00 p.m.
