Rosina "Rose" Ervin

Rosina M. Ervin or “Rose,” 69, of Pojoaque, NM, died peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her son, Tobias D. Ervin, parents Belarmino and Frances Giron, in-laws Michael and Mardella Ervin, as well as siblings Roberto Steven, Anna Marie, and Juanita Giron and brother-in-law Rick Ervin. She is survived by her husband, Russell R. (Rusty) Ervin, her daughter, Crystal and husband Ps. Kevin Miller; her brothers, Carlos and wife Tekla Giron, David Michael and wife Teresa Giron, Ricardo Giron, and Ernesto Giron. In addition, there are 5 beloved grandchildren; McKaylyn and Jordyn Ervin; Aedin, Skyelar and Lief Miller, as well as, a number of nephews, nieces and cousins. Rose was a hugely creative (Artist and Writer), smart and funny woman who was known by all as the sweetest lady you would ever have the pleasure to meet. She will be greatly missed by family and friends, and her grandchildren in particular, with whom she had very close relationships. A Viewing will be held on the 8th of July, 2023 at 10 am in the Kiva Chapel at the Rivera Funeral Home in Santa Fe, NM. Funeral Services will also be in the Kiva Chapel at the Rivera Funeral Home in Santa Fe, NM on July 14th at 11:30 am. The burial procession will follow at 1:00 pm and proceed to Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM. All are invited to attend a reception immediately following at Rose and Rusty’s house in Pojoaque. Folks are encouraged to gather together in love and to share good food and good memories.  It should be noted that in lieu of flowers the family would rather you donate to one of Rose’s favorite charities in her name: New Beginnings Taos, Roadrunner Food Bank of NM, Convoy of Hope, or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
