Rubel Garcia

Rubel J. Garcia, 91 Passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on October 22, 2023.

Rubel was preceded in death by parents Juan and Candelaria Garcia, son Ernesto Garcia, brothers, sisters, and grandson Jessie Sosa.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Virginia Garcia, children Liz Garcia, Mary Ann Sosa (Elias), Anthony Garcia (Yolanda), Carmelita Garcia, Thomas Garcia (Paula) and daughter in-law Michelle.  Grand Children Jeremiah Garcia (Brittany), Kathryn Becze, Cristianna Garcia-Papke (Kevin), Ricco Garcia, Diego Garcia, Antonio Garcia, Lorenzo Garcia, Kayla Garcia, Sara Garcia, 6 great-grandchildren, and sister Cecilia Melendez.

Rubel served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S Chauncey and retired from the State of New Mexico.  He enjoyed spending time with family, camping, fishing, hunting, tinkering in his garage, and working in his yard.  

The rosary will be held on Tuesday November 7, 2023 at 10:30 AM in Cristo Rey Church, funeral mass will be held directly after followed by a burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
