Rubelia G. Martinez, 95 years old has joined her husband of 74 years, Ovaido Martinez in eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Martinez, her grandson, Nelson Martinez, granddaughter Connie Reynolds and husband Chris Reynolds, parents, Samuel Gonzales and Beatrice Fresquez, her in-laws, Elias and Aurora R. Martinez, her brother Leandro Gonzales and many other relatives and friends. She is survived by her son Obie Martinez and wife Betsy, her daughters, Eunice Martinez, Theresa Dominguez, Ruth M. Klein and husband Tom, granddaughter whom she and her husband helped raise, Debbie Martinez-Lieman and husband Jonathan, her sister Petra River (Meliton Rivera, Deceased), her sisters-in-law Emma Fresquez (Gilbert Fresquez, Deceased), Ida Valdez, and by her grandchildren, Sally Wark (David), John Martinez (Georgiana), Patrick Martinez (Kathy), Roman Martinez (Yvette), Anna Benavidez (Paul), Sam Dominguez, Patricia Dominguez, Tamie Andrews (Aaron), Michael Klein, great-grandchildren, Chris Reynolds, Jr., Randy Reynolds, Kathleen Ortega (Joseph), Steven Martinez, Jennifer Wark, William Wark, Marcus Martinez, Felina Martinez, Patrick Matthew Martinez, Therese Martinez, Roman A. Martinez, Jr., Anthony J. Martinez, Alexis Benavidez, Paul Benavidez, Jr., Michael Benavidez, great-great grandchildren Anneliza Ortega and Joseph B. Ortega, and many other relatives. Serving as Pallbearers are: Steven Martinez, John Martinez, Patrick Martinez, Roman Martinez, Sam Dominguez, and Michael Klein. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Public visitation will begin on Sunday, July 30 at 6:00p.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco, with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:00p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 31 at 11:00a.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco, with the burial to follow at the Presbyterian Llano de San Juan Cemetery. Serving as Pall Bearers are Steven Martinez, John Martinez, Patrick Martinez, Roman Martinez, Sam Dominguez, and Michael Klein. The Family of Rubelia Martinez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the Rivera Funeral Home and Crematory of The Espanola Valley.
