Ruby Elvira Fresquez

Ruby Fresquez, beloved wife, mother, and sister, went to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ on December 5, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.  Ruby was born on February 22, 1949 in El Coyote, NM.  She is preceded in death by her parents Enrique and Senaida Gonzales, brother Henry Gonzales and sister Bessie Rivera.  

Ruby is survived by her husband, Tim Fresquez, of the family home in Mora, NM, and daughter Amy Fresquez of Las Cruces, NM.  Sisters Berna Nolan (Florencio) of Mora, NM, Alice Torrez (Gene) of Greeley, CO.  Brothers Ernest Gonzales (Porfie) of Albuquerque, NM, Paul Gonzales and Albert Gonzales, both of Guadalupita, NM.  She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.  

Ruby was a graduate of New Mexico Highlands University, earning her degree in Business Management and was a Certified Public Accountant.  She had her own business, Ruby’s Produce, for thirty years.  She was a very loving and giving person who enjoyed talking and visiting with her family, friends, neighbors, and customers.  She also enjoyed gambling at the casinos and was always very lucky.  Ruby had a strong faith in God.  She will be missed by all.

Cremation has taken place.  No services will be held at this time.  Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Rivera Funeral Home, Santa Fe, NM.
