Rudy Sanchez

Rudy Domingo Sanchez, 56, from Chamisal, NM was born on August 4, 1963 to Mary Alcarita and Joe Benito Sanchez. Rudy passed away on February 26, 2020.

Rudy was a Wildland Hotshot Firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service and the BLM for ~30 years, he was helpful to his neighbors and friends and will be missed by many.

Rudy was preceded by his parents, brother Benny, sister Benita, nephew Louis Fernandez, grandparents Federico and Eliza Sanchez, Juanita Garcia, uncles Isidoro and Gilbert Sanchez, and Frutoso Garcia; aunts Josie Lujan (Ben),Anastacia Garcia, and Lydia Rivera.

He is survived by his daughter Amanda Wilson (Five Grandchildren) ; brothers Arturo Sanchez, Federico Sanchez (MaryLou) and Hans Shipman (Natalie); sisters Becky Fernandez (Boyd), Eutimia Visarraga (Wayne) and Victoria Sanchez (Rowdy). Special niece Edwardine Fernandez, other nieces Anna Fischer, Melissa Romero Matilda Fernandez, Athena Sanchez-Garcia (Lorenzo), Chenoa Sanchez, Keioma Sandoval (Cody), Anja Sanchez. Nephews Amadeus Sanchez, Alex Visarraga (Desiree), Chrisopher Visarraga (Alice) Aunts Rita Sanchez, Bertha Ulibarri, Stella Carter, Celina Sanchez; Uncles Max Garcia (Sandy), James Sanchez (Maria); special friends Roland Romero, Dickie Dominguez, Jeffery Dominguez, Floyd Pacheco Jr. and Sr. George Roybal and many other cousins, relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Friday , March 6, 2020. A Holy Rosary will be prayed at 1:00PM, followed by Mass of Christian burial at The San Antonio de Padua and interment to follow at the Chamisal Cemetery.
