Ryan Barnes

Ryan Barnes, 39, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2017 in Espanola, NM. Ryan was born on February 26, 1978 in Los Alamos, NM and graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1996. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Joe and Fran Segar and his uncle, Larry Segar. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Barnes. Ryan started ice skating at the age of two and became an accomplished hockey player. He was offered an opportunity to try out for the New York Rangers, which he turned down. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the mountains of New Mexico and was known to be loving, caring, and giving. Ryan's mother would like to acknowledge and thank the many people who nurtured Ryan throughout his life, especially the members and clergy of the Valley View United Methodist Church in Espanola. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017, 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1967 18th St., Los Alamos, NM.
