Salomon F. Lara

Salomon Lara, 69, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on October 17, 2019 in Albuquerque NM, at Presbyterian hospital at 3:37p of health complications.

He is proceeded in death by his mother Guadalupe Lara Franco and his father Ignacio Lara and other siblings.  He is survived by his wife of 44years, Guadalupe Lara and his sons: Luis and wife Cecil Lara of Gilbert Arizona, Mauro  and wife Amanda Lara and her children of Albuquerque and Estevan Lara of Albuquerque.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Damian, Adrianna,  Mia,  Gavyn and his two great grandchildren  Maribel and Liliana. He is also survived by many beloved brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family of his wife and friends. He will be remembered as a dedicated, hard working, caring and loving father and friend who always did what he could to help others. 

Salomon enjoyed watching baseball, football and boxing. His favorite sports teams were the Colorado Rockies and the Dallas Cowboys. His all-time favorite boxer was Salvador Sanchez. He loved doing construction work and building. He mostly loved spending time with family and friends. He was well known in the community and loved by his friends.

Salomon requested to be cremated and a memorial service will be held by the family at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St SE, Albuquerque NM 87108. A Rosary will be held in the chapel at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10am on Friday October 25, 2019. Everyone is welcome to join the family. A private burial service will be scheduled for the immediate family.

They would also like to thank the Doctor's who worked diligently to help Salomon and his family, Mary Helen and the staff at Rivera Funeral Home, Espanola, NM for assisting the family, all the family and friends who traveled to be with the family, and the community for all their calls, cards, support and prayers
