Salomon "Sal" Garcia – Age 65 a resident of San Pedro passed away on Friday, March 9, 2007 following a short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents: Vicente and Amada Garcia. May their souls rest in peace. He was a school bus driver for the Española Public Schools for 20 years and was a hard working farmer and rancher all of his life. He is survived by his sisters: Angie Garcia, Mary Bustos (Larquin) and Pauline Duncan (Del) all of San Pedro, Theresa Garcia (Michael) of Albuquerque, Gloria Archuleta (Daniel) of Santa Cruz and Evelyn Martinez (Andy) of Española; 2 brothers: David Garcia and Elmer Garcia (Yolanda) all of Ranchitos; aunt, Dora Trujillo of San Pedro; and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, March 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Adrian Lujan, Lindy Akes, Orlando Rodriguez, Ernest Herrera, Sam Hedrick, Jr. and Donald Martinez.
