Samuel Damian Lucero (Sam) died November 1, 2021, at the age of 85, after several days of hospitalization. Sam put up a courageous battle with many health issues for several years until his passing.
Sam devoted his entire time after retirement to enjoy and care for his daughter, Debbie, and his grandchildren. During his long career and into retirement, he was an avid reader of the works of Thomas Merton, as he contemplated his intellectual and spiritual life.
