Sarah "Tonita" Gallegos Garcia

Sara Gallegos Garcia of Cuarteles passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 71. Sara was born on January 23rd, 1953, in Alcalde to Narciso and Alcarita Valdez.

Sara was a loving mother, wife, grandma, and great grandma. She is preceded in death by her mother, her father, her son Edward Gallegos, her son-in-law Benjamin Lopez, and her sister Flora of Colorado.

Sara is survived by her husband Henry Garcia, daughter Eileen Mondragon, her son Steve Gallegos, her stepdaughters Tricia Baca and LeeAnn Lopez, sons-in-law Jerry Mondragon and Daniel Baca, her brother Jerome Valdez and her sister Beatrice Rangel. Sara is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren whom she loved greatly. She loved spending time with her great-grandson Amarii and enjoyed every moment she got to spend watching him be a big brother to his baby brother Jordan. She worked hard all her life and loved even harder; she will be missed dearly.

Our Sarita is now resting peacefully, and we invite those also mourning her to join us at Rivera Family Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23rd at 6:00 pm for the viewing and 7:00 pm for the rosary.  Holy Cross Church on Friday, January 24th at 11:00 am for her funeral.
