Scott Eberhardy

1963 — August 29, 2024

Scott (Scotty) Eberhardy, of Espanola, passed away on August 29, 2024. Scott was born in Wisconsin. His parents moved the family to Albuquerque in the early 70's. Scott

played in Little League, YAFL, and basketball, and loved sports. Scott was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was in DECA. He was an altar server at Holy Ghost parish. He was a Highland Hornet. He went to TVI (CNM) and got his culinary bakers certification. He worked several jobs before working at Cook's True Value in Espanola for 24 years. Most people will remember him as the gate man. When you got something from the yard, Scotty usually checked you out the gate. He was a member of Holy Cross Church.

 

Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

 

Many thanks and blessing to the wonderful medical staff and ICU staff at Christus St. Vincent who recently took care of him so well.

 

He is survived by Dana and Armando Gonzales, Christy and Earl Wade Kieser, Terry and Mike Bird, Joette (Jo) and Jerry Haase. Many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

 

Public Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 4:30 pm at Rivera Chapel at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Holy Cross Church in Santa Cruz, NM. Interment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery. 

 

Pallbearer will be Jessica Haase. 

Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association or the Christus St. Vincent Cancer Center/ NM Cancer Foundation or the UNM Cancer Center.
