Sheldon Levin

With deep pain and sadness we inform you of the sudden, tragic passing of our beloved Sheldon (Shelly) Levin Shalom ben Tzvi Hirsh, of blessed memory. Shelly was a founding and board member of Chabad Jewish Center in Santa Fe, and an affectionate "zeidy" to all. He was a dedicated husband to his late wife Charlotte, and loving father to his surviving son Monte. He was a veteran in World War ll, who served our country proudly with the Tenth Mountain Division; a staunch supporter of Israel and the Jewish people, and a member of the Jewish Defense League. Shelly was a mathematician, researcher who worked at Tel Hashomer hospital in Tel Aviv,Israel in the 1960's; an avid photographer, who loved to hike and explore remote countries. He will be sorely missed. Funeral and interment will be held Sunday, November 9, 3:0pm, at Beis Shalom section of Rivera Santa Fe Memorial Gardens 417 East Rodeo Road. Followed by Shiva Services at Chabad Jewish Center, In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chabad 509 Camino de los Marquez.
