Sheri Wilson

On October 7, 2019, Sheri Le Wilson passed away after complications from a brief illness. She was 62 years old.

Sheri was a long-time member of the Taos community, living in Tres Piedras for many years. She spent the last two years in the Carson area with her pets. She was a devout animal lover, and adored her two dogs and four kitties—they were her kids. The Taos vibe suited Sheri, and she enjoyed her private, off-the-grid lifestyle.

Sheri was a known personality at the Common Thread Textiles store where she worked for the past twelve years. She had a passion for music and fashion, and loved color in clothes, hair, art, and life.

An active member of the area Buddhist community, Sheri had an energetic and vibrant spirt. Her faith and belief in the Buddhist pursuit of peace, harmony, and self-reflection were essential to her core values.

Sheri was born in Southern California and lived there throughout her early high school years. She relocated with her family to Durango, Colorado, where she completed high school. Before settling into Taos in the early 1990s, Sheri moved back to Southern California, and again to Colorado, this time to the Front Range.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly King. She is survived by her father, George Wilson (Virginia), brother, Scott Wilson (Sally), sisters, Suzanne Tani (Curtis) and Cristi Ricci (Mike), nieces, Anna Wilson Smith (Daniel), Emma Tani, and Allie Bea Ricci; and nephews, Maxwell Tani, Matthew Wilson, Jack Wilson, and George Ricci.
