Shirley Mae Rodriguez

Shirley Mae Gallegos age 58 , a lifelong resident of Ojo Sarco, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2018. Shirley began to weave at an early age in her childhood and continued as a weaver until her passing. Shirley enjoyed the outdoors, going for wood and pinon picking. Shirley loved being with family and enjoyed making people laugh. Shirley was preceded in death by her Parents; Flavio and Dorothy Gallegos, Grandparents; Federico and Abelita Gallegos, Maternal Grandparents; Manuel and Martina Armijo, Brother; Leonard Gallegos, Aunt; Esther Martinez, and Nephew; James Gallegos. Shirley is survived by her children; Lorena and husband Ricky, Eugena and husband Derek, Derrick and wife Sheila, Father of her children; Lawrence Rodriguez, Brother; Jerry and wife Lorraine, Sisters; MaryAnn and husband Doc, Cecilia and husband Andres, Sister in law; Edna, 6 grandchildren, and a special cousin Carol whom she considered as a sister, Goddaughter; Tanya. Numerous Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018, 6:00 PM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Penasco, NM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, 11:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Penasco, NM. Interment will follow Funeral Mass at Trampas Cemetery. Serving the family as Pall Bearers will be Donald, Anthony, Derek, Ricky, Gerald, and Leonard. Honorary Pallbearers will be her Grandchildren; Destiny, Isabella, Carlos, Ricky Jr., Christiana and Jody.
