Socorro Ortiz

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Socorro Pino Ortiz, age 85, on September 14, 2024. Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Nicholas and Jesusita Pino. Socorro lived a life full of love and dedication to her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Demetrio Ortiz, and her son, Eugene Ortiz. Socorro is survived by her son, Joel Ortiz (Anita) and her daughter, Patricia Candelaria (Joe). She was a cherished grandmother to Christiana Ortiz, Janine Rowe, Daniel Vigil, Joel Dean (JD) Ortiz, Serena Vigil, Adriana Ortiz, Michael Vigil and ten loving great-grandchildren.

Socorro also leaves behind her companion and longtime partner Joe D. Chavez, who brought joy and companionship to her later years.

Socorro’s legacy of love, kindness, and family devotion will be remembered and treasured by all who knew her.
