Solomon A. Luna – Age 88 a resident of Tierra Amarilla passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2007. Solomon was a WWII veteran, in which he received two Purple Hearts as well as a Bronze Star and a Good Conduct Medal. He was a life long cattle businessman. He also served the County Rio Arriba as Treasurer and Magistrate Judge for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Francisco and Emilia Luna, his wife Dolores Gomez, his brother Frank Luna; sisters: Sylvia Luna, Esther Bruno and Olivia Carmody; and a son, Stanley Luna. May their souls rest in peace. He is survived by his children: Roy R. Luna and wife Emma of Albuquerque, Brenda Luna of Santa Fe, Joseph Abel Luna and wife Diane of Tierra Amarilla, and Rachel Luna of Albuquerque; brothers and sister: Hilario Luna of California, Marcella Hanson of California and Gilbert Luna and wife Erlinda of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law: Theresa Godwin and husband Glenn of Lumberton, Adela Gomez of Lumberton, Cora Gomez of Dulce and Lupita Gomez of Bloomfield; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary for the repose of the soul of Solomon A. Luna will be recited on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Santo Niño Catholic Church in Tierra Amarilla. A second rosary will be recited on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos. Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos. The family of Solomon A.
