Sonya Vargas

Sonya Estrella Vargas, 37 of Taos, NM passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2019. She was employed at Rio Grande Ace Hardware. She is preceded in death by her sister, Brandie Nicole Trujillo, grandparents, Vicente J. Trujillo and Minnie Trujillo and uncle, Marvin Trujillo. She is survived by her son, David Vargas (and his father, Fabian) of Taos, NM, parents, Carmen Trujillo of Ranchos de Taos, NM and Juan F. Rivera (Senaida) of Albuquerque, NM, Gilbert & Josie Vargas of Taos, NM, auntie, Berlynda Trujillo of Llano Quemado, NM and aunt, Norma Trujillo of Albuquerque, NM, special friend, Shawn Archuleta of Taos, NM and numerous other relatives and close friends. Rosary will be recited on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 6:30 PM at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10 AM at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church with interment to be held at the New Llano Quemado Cemetery, followed by a meal at the Llano Quemado Community Center.
