Stella H. Delgado

April 20, 1929 to April 20, 2024

A lifelong resident of Santa Fe, Stella H. Delgado passed away, peacefully, on her birthday, after 95 years of a fun-filled life. Stella graduated from Santa Fe High School and then went to work for the State. Soon after that, she met the love of her life, her late husband Richard Delgado who has waited for her for nearly eleven years.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, Isidoro and Margarita Herrera, eight brothers and sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

Stella was the ultimate caretaker. She retired earlier than planned so she could take care of her grandchildren. She also made time to take care of her siblings and other loved ones. She loved her family intensely and always made them her top priority. Throughout her life she was an incredibly caring and generous person.

Stella is survived by her daughters Mary Beacham and husband Bill; Rene Pruett and husband Charlie; granddaughters Jennifer Herrera and husband Lawerence; Shari Cross and husband Kyle; great granddaughters Danielle and husband Brendan; Loren, Natalie, and Layne; brother-in-law Larry Delgado and wife Angie; sister- in- law Imelda Delgado; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A special thank you goes out to Ambercare and the incredible hospice expertise of Corey, Dahlila, Stephanie, Donna, and Daniel. Stella loved and appreciated the care you gave her.

Memorial services will be held at Santuario de Guadalupe (the old church), 417 Agua Fria Street, Santa Fe, New Mexico on Monday, June 3, 2024.

12:00 noon - Rosary / 12:30 - Burial Mass

2:00 pm - Burial at the National Cemetery

A reception will follow at 3:00 pm, at the Beacham’s, 39 Entrada de Santiago (off of Rabbit Rd), in Santa Fe, NM.
