Stella Martinez

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother was taken gently from this earth into the Beloved arms of her dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.  A blessing on All Saints Day.

Stella was preceded in death by her loving mother Lucinda Lucero, her daughter Martha (Marti) Martinez, her son Albert Martinez.

Stella was very active with the Foster Grandparent Program thru the City of Santa Fe on behalf of Mary Esther Gonzales Senior Center for many years.

Stella is survived by daughters, Maria Valencia, Connie Apodaca (Tommy), Josie Chavez, and Maria Elena Martinez. Her sons, Jerry (Celina) Martinez and Herman Martinez, and many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 1120 Canyon Road.  A rosary will be held at 10:00 am and mass celebrating Stella’s life to follow at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens on Rodeo Rd.

We are forever grateful for the love and support of the 200 Unit Staff and Caretakers at Albuquerque Heights Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
