Stella Sandoval of Santa Fe was called to be with our Lord on Friday July 7, 2017. Stella was born on August 25th, 1924 to Adolfo and Eloisa Vigil Rodriguez.
Stella married the love of her life Ernesto Sandoval on October 15th, 1945. They had seven children and accomplished many of their dreams together. Stella was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother and she will be greatly missed by all. Stella was a dedicated homemaker, a talented seamstress and substitute teacher for the Santa Fe Public schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernesto Sandoval, beloved son Raymond Sandoval. Parents Adolfo and Eloisa Vigil Rodriguez, second mother Pacifica Rodriguez, and sister Jenny Chavez.
She is survived by her children, Ernesto Jr. (Cindy); Richard (Penny); Daniel (Patsy), Eloise (Jose), Rebecca (Frank), Angela (Scott); 19 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 20 great- great grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday evening at 6PM, July 11th at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Santa Fe, NM followed by a Rosary that will be prayed at 7PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 10AM. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery where Stella will be laid to rest next to her husband Enesto who passed away on May 17, 2013. Serving as pallbearers: Ernest Jr Sandoval, Richard Sandoval, Daniel Sandoval, Miguel Sandoval, Francisco Martinez and Roy Sandoval.
