Sue Carter Lessard

Sue C. Lessard, 72, resident of Santa Fe, NM passed away on April 03, 2021. She was born on June 15, 1948 in Sandford, NC to Ola Deal Carter and Roy Tillman Carter. She married Joel C. Lessard on July 14, 1984 in Duluth, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Roy & Ola Carter and brothers; Larry and Randy Carter,

She is survived by her spouse; Joel Lessard, sister; Valerie Harrison, daughter; Kimberly Martin, son; Michael Schenk and Alexander Schenk-Lessard.

Sue was licensed as a private detective in 1988 in Wisconsin and worked in shoplifting.

She had a Bachelor of Science-Liberal Arts Major in Criminal Justice. Sue was also a Police dispatcher in O’Fallon Illinois and she volunteered for Hospice in Santa Fe for years.

She was a major for Securitas-Security Company in the 1990’s and a girl scout troop leader in the 1970’s.

Interment will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery for both Joel Lessard and Sue Lessard.
