Susan Sarossy

June 9, 1956 — January 18, 2016

Susan Sarrossy was a Free Spirit who passed on Monday, January 18, 2016 while following her passion; climbing. She called this following her bliss which she always encouraged others to do. She always brought warmth and smiles to those around her. She had Master’s degree in Social Work that she used to help the people of New Mexico. Susan was the youngest of four, born June 9, 1956 of first generation Hungarian immigrants, Charlotte and Steven Sarossy. She is the beloved mother and sister survived by her two children Aspen Whistler and Marika Hicks and siblings Charlene Sarossy, Steven Sarossy, and Stephanie Steno. She was a much loved Aunt to Krisztina, Brandon, Lisa and Scott. Susan’s love for animals brought much joy to the cats, dogs and horses she took care of through her days. She will be missed and remembered by many for her loving, free and adventurous spirit for Life. A gathering will be held in celebration of Susan’s life, January 29, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe Climbing Center, 825 Early St., Suite A, Santa Fe, NM. A Visitation and Celebration of Life service will be held January 30, 2016 from 1pm to 8pm at the Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 E. Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM.
