Susan Sisneros

Susan Elizabeth (Pacheco) Sisneros died peacefully at home on August 7, 2014 after a graceful and courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born in Santa Fe on October 27, 1965 to Joseph Louis and Cecilia (Sanchez) Pacheco. She married her beloved husband Miguel Sisneros on May 27, 1995. She graduated from Saint Michael's High School and earned a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Mexico. Sue served the youth of New Mexico her entire career. She began in the New Mexico Legislature, was an assistant to the Secretary of Children, Youth and Families, a juvenile probation officer, chief of Santa Fe, Espanola and Los Alamos Juvenile Probation, the CYFD Administrator for the Eastern Region of New Mexico. Sue was beautiful, fun-loving, compassionate, competitive, faithful, loyal, dedicated, artistic, athletic and kind to animals. She encouraged everyone around her to be their best and found humor in every situation. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents Guadalupe and Emilia (King) Sanchez, Manuel and Refugio (Ortiz) Pacheco. She is survived by her husband, mother, parents-in-law Mike and Jenny (Romero) Sisneros, Pacheco siblings Joe, Louie, Larry (Mary), Adele Clore (Richard), Annette Senteney (Mark), Phil (Andrea), Loretta (fiance Tim Sesbeau), Peter (Maggie), Nick (Julie), Tom (Teresa), siblings-in-law David and Carlos Sisneros, Linda and Jerry Macias; nieces and nephews Christopher (Leslie), Jacqueline, Catherine, Dominic (Stephanie), Ben, Thomas, Michaela, Carmen, Michael, Matthew, Justine and Sammy Pacheco, Richard, Elizabeth, and Cecilia Clore, Emily and Marc Senteney, Kristen Martinez, Gabriel and Melachiah Lopez, David and Kristen Sisneros, Jerry Macias, Monica Delgado (Tony), Laura Yamasaki (Nick), Bryan Garcia; great nieces and nephews Zoe Pacheco, Lorali Macias, Leilana Delgado, Amelia and Norah Yamasaki, her dogs Paco and Mia, an extended loving family, and many friends. Rosary Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass Wednesday, August 13,2014 at 1:00 p.m. both at St. Anne Catholic Church, 511 Alicia Street, Santa Fe.
