Suzanne Marie Beauregard, aged 68, passed away in her sleep Tuesday June 17th after a six month battle with cancer. She was born on April 27, 1946 to Charles and Ethel Beauregard in Chicago Illinois. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Robert Ryerson, her brother Joseph Beauregard and his wife Kris Sovde, her brother Guy Beauregard and his wife Colleen, and her sister Yvonne and her husband George Ammerman.
Suzanne and her husband came to Taos four years ago from their San Francisco Bay area home of over 30 years. There she worked variously in television, marketing and fund raising.
Suzanne immediately fell in love with Taos and its people. Her life here was a busy and happy one. She was a volunteer at Millicent Rogers Museum, tutored English conversation at UNM Taos Adult Learning Center where she was a board member. She fulfilled a lifelong interest in photography here in Taos where her pictures were widely admired. She was delighted to be able to resume horseback riding in Taos and made many good friends through the sport. The many friendships she made here were her greatest joy. She is greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday July 18th at San Francisco de Assis Church in Ranchos de Taos followed by a memorial at Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos.
The family wishes to acknowledge with heartfelt appreciation your kind expression of sympathy during this difficult time.
