Teresa Mascarenas

Teresa R. Mascarenas, age 78, a resident of Dixon passed away on January 12, 2017 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years, Arturo Mascarenas, son Bruce and infant daughter Brenda; mother Octaviana Armijo; in laws Alberto and Amanda Mascarenas; brothers Randy and Leo Armijo, sister Dorothy Lovato; brother and sister in laws Edna and Tony Espinoza, Rodger and Helen Mascarenas, Lee and Dora Mascarenas, Leroy Mascarenas, Alfonso Sanchez, Joe Cordova, and Eddie Abeyta. She is survived by her children Wayne, Sharon, and Dinah of Dixon and Jeff Espinoza of Espanola. Her beloved granddaughter who she raised as her own, Alicia Mascarenas of Dixon, and granddaughter Kayla Espinoza of Espanola; sisters Vicky Cordova of Chamisal, Kate Abeyta of Penasco, Rose and Henry Montoya of Colorado, and brother Jose Armijo of Los Lunas, brother in law Alfonso Mascarenas (and Mary),sister in law Dila Sanchez, Esther Romero (and Nelson), Pricilla Romero, Pauline Mascarenas, and Lina Sandoval of Dixon. Very special niece, Michelle Archuleta of Chamisal and many more nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Very close aunt and uncle Ray and Borcie Vigil of Utah. Special thanks to Amber Care Hospice for their services and special thanks to friends and family for all of their love, support, and prayers. Services are pending and will be announced as soon as they are available. Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 22, 2017 @ 12 o’clock noon at The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Canoncito. Carrying her ashes will be her granddaughter Alicia Mascareneas followed by honorary pallbearers Kayla Espinosa, Noberto Armijo and Analisa Archuleta. Burial will follow at a later date. A meal will follow at the Dixon Senior Center.
