Terrance Steck

1986 — September 22, 2020

It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Terrance H. Steck, 34, on September 22, 2020. Terrance was born in Los Alamos, NM on April 10, 1986. He is survived by his mother Kathy Steck of Los Alamos, NM; his father Andy Steck and stepmother Deena Steck of White Rock, NM; his brother, Jered, his wife Kiersten, and their two children Ethan (9) and Ainsley (8) of Orting, WA; as well as his extended Steck and Erven families.

Terrance was born and raised in Los Alamos, NM and graduated LAHS in 2004. After high school, Terrance moved to Houston, TX to attend diving school and pursue a career in commercial diving. Terrance worked as a commercial diver with tenure on several offshore oil drilling rigs and did various underwater salvaging jobs in the Gulf Coast region. Terrance loved being around family, and in 2012 he moved to Washington to be closer to his brother, Jered and his family. Ultimately, he returned to settle down in Los Alamos later that year, close to his mother, where he worked in the family business until his passing..

Terrance enjoyed tinkering with firearms, bird hunting, backpacking, mountain biking, and hanging out with friends and family. He was cherished by many and loved old and new members of the community. The loss of such a caring soul weighs heavy on the hearts of his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Los Alamos Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 6 pm.
