Theresa H. Garcia

Theresa (Tere) H. Garcia, 93, beloved mother, grams, tia and prima, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M., went to be with our Lord on June 17th., 2023.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Theresa was born in Tecolote, N.M. to Margarito and Saturnina Herrera on May 23rd., 1930.

Theresa is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Ernestine, brother Charlie, Florencio (Nash), and Dan (Esther) Baca, sisters, Felicita (Elias) Maes, Eva Jaramillo, and Nephew Joe Maes.

Theresa is survived by her children, Victor, Margarito, Lupe and Josephine Herrera, Ernestine (Gary) Gonzales, Maria (Martin) Montoya. Grandchildren Carlos (Brittany) Herrera, Alissa Herrera, Jocelyn (Adam) Vialpando, Lauren and Shannon Sanchez, Isaiah (Yelena) Gonzales, Anthony Benavidez, Miranda (Jacob) Kelly, Melissa Herrera (Chris Rivera), Vanessa (Greg) Sanchez, Richard Gonzales, Marisa (Cameron) Cox. Theresa's great grandchildren, Lily (Richard) Garcia, Jerome, Cora, Andrew, Devina Herrera, Lexus and Fabian Sanchez, Amerie Vialpando, Elijah Gallegos, Riley Varela, Sophia Bustos, Isabella and Analisa Sanchez, Santiago, Janelle, Juliana, Mariah Gonzales, Noah and Evan Cox, Daijah, Aiden, Lily, and Ethan Kelly, Great great grandchildren, Ricky Jr., Andres and Javier Garcia, and Gillie Sanchez.  She leaves behind a very special young man, Robert. 

A rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Sorrows (OLOS) church on July 10th, at 9:00am, mass will follow the rosary.  Burial will take place at the Tecolote cemetery.  A gathering will be held at the Tecolote Community Center following the burial.  Special thanks to Father Agustine for the Anointing of the sick and Last Rights sacraments, ANVOY Hospice (Anna Rodriguez and Dottie), Victory Agency for their assistance with our mom's hospice care and Janice Santistevan for your care of our mom.  Rest In Peace beloved Mom and Grams.
