Thomas Tarleton

September 16, 1928 — November 30, 2016

Thomas Anthony Tarleton, age 88, from Taos, New Mexico passed away on November 30, 2016 at Gentiva hospice at Loveless in Albuquerque. Tommy was born in Las Angeles, California on September 16, 1928 to Tom and Toni (Kriznic) Tarleton and was the oldest of three children. Tommy leaves behind his wife Mary Lou (Sais) whom he was married to for 61 years in Taos, his children, Kathleen and Frank Lerner and Thomas (Jack) and Michelle Jaschke. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Michael and Angela (Richardson) Lerner from Albuquerque, Sarah (Lermer) and Chris Garcia from Denver and Katja Tarleton from Santa Fe. He had four great-grandchildren who made his heart pound with love. He left behind his sister Nancy Feight from Albuquerque, brother Glen Michael and Anne (Devoulder) Tarleton from Taos. He also left behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Tommy's funeral service was held on December 5th, 2016 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos, with an interment that followed on Wednesday, December 7th at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Special Thanks to all the staff at the Taos Living Center and at Gentiva. We are also especially thankful to all the loving CNAs and care givers who took care of Tommy, and to the wonderful services provided by Rivera Funeral Home, Father Dan, Deacon Jerry and Florence Quintana, Deacons Larry Torres, Romolo Arellano, and Don Martinez. We wish to thank Billy Archuleta for his beautiful music, and to the much appreciated help given by the Guadulapanas of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos. Tommy led a wonderful life and we will always carry his memory in our hearts. TAOS.
