Tiburcio H. Roybal (Tibo)
Tibo was born March 14, 1939, and called home on Monday, January 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 84.
Those who knew Tibo, knew he was a fun-loving jokester that always had a smile on his face. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, pinon picking, and going for wood. He was always excited to play Santa Claus for the children of the community, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Tibo married Marcela Jaramillo on September 2, 1967, in Las Vegas, NM. They started and raised their family in Pecos, NM where he lived until our Lord called him home. He retired from Pecos Schools after many years of loyal service. In addition to working for the schools and during his younger years, he was a member of a US Forest Service hotshot crew, worked for the State of NM, was a runner for a few local car dealerships, and served as a volunteer firefighter. Those who knew him, remember him as a genuine hard-working kindhearted gentleman.
Tibo is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Maria and Carmelita Roybal, brother Clemente Roybal; sisters Jessie Roybal, Lucy Yrene, and Frances Valencia. His mother-in-law Inez Jaramillo, sisters-in-law Margaret Roybal and Tillie Jaramillo, brothers-in-law Bobby Valencia, David Yrene, Van Jaramillo, and Johnny Jaramillo.
He will be forever loved by those he leaves behind, his wife of 56 years Marcela Roybal; his children Anna Vigil (Manuel); Jerrold Roybal (Claudette); Cathy Martinez (Tommy) and Danny Roybal (Cecilia). Twelve (12) grandchildren, Jason Martinez (Alicia); Justin Martinez (Devine); Jeremy Martinez (Brianna); Jerrold Roybal-Chavez (Drew); Thomas Martinez (Delia); Jonathan Martinez (Edgar); Troy Martinez (Brianna); Janaha Vigil (Dru); Anali Roybal; Jazzlynn Roybal; Jerrica Roybal and Tillie Roybal.
